It Takes A Team Effort

For almost 20 years, I’ve reported on some amazing feats of athleticism for ESPN. But the one thing that stood out, game after game, is that it takes a team to win. When I got cancer that lesson got personal. And Team LIVESTRONG became my team.

There’s an unstoppable strength when cancer survivors and supporters like you team up under the LIVESTRONG Foundation banner to confront this disease together. And I’ve seen firsthand how the funds we raise provide survivors with the resources and help they need to take charge of their fight. That’s why I love Team LIVESTRONG. They refuse to quit. Refuse to let fear win. And with the deal they’ve got going right now, you owe it to yourself to join them.

If you Team Up Against Cancer by signing up for an event by May 7, a fellow teammate will pitch in half your registration fee.

When I rode in the Team LIVESTRONG Challenge Philly, I found out just how special these events are. To me, they feel like full-on family gatherings. And I know I’m not alone. I’ve heard hundreds of stories. Each one is different, but the fight is the same. We all want to kick cancer’s ass.

Joining Team LIVESTRONG is the best way to get in the fight. It’s the most powerful way to prove nothing can stand in our way. And right now, it’s never been easier — or more important. Register for any Team LIVESTRONG ride, run or tri by May 7 to lock in your half-price registration fee.

Don’t hesitate, do it. That’s what it takes to win. And you can thank me later — across the finish line.

See you out there,
