LIVESTRONG Cancer Navigation Center Clients Celebrate Holiday Season

Our LIVESTRONG Cancer Navigation Center Austin Holiday Open House was a huge success last week! We had 91 people attend the party plus staff and interns. Thank you to EVERYONE who helped plan, execute and volunteer at the event. Here are some highlights from the night:
- LIVESTRONG Staffer, Sarah Gomez said, “A client come up and tell me that an acquaintance, that he hadn’t seen in years, was also at the party and they got to reconnect and share their cancer experiences.”
- An 11yr old Ewing Sarcoma survivor just released from the hospital won the raffle grand prize – a Trek Bike!
- One of our clients commented after the raffle, “I didn’t win the raffle, but I won a friend. I saw a neighbor at my apartment building at the party that is a survivor too! I had a very enjoyable time at the party and will stay in touch with her. Thank you so much for inviting me!”
We are so proud to be able to offer this event for our clients and so proud to work with people willing to give their time, energy and donations.
