Certainly no newcomer to Team LIVESTRONG, our Presenting sponsor Nike has helped the Foundation raise over $100 million to help fight cancer.
Davis brought the debut of the Team LIVESTRONG Challenge Series App, powered by RadioShack. Available to download for iPhone, iPad, Android and as a mobile website, the app provides participant tracking capabilities, course maps, event information and more. Be sure to check it out in Philadelphia and Austin!
A perfect escape from the heat of the weekend, FRS was in Davis sampling their extensive line of quercetin-based healthy performance products. Keep an eye on their facebook and twitter pages in the coming months for a chance to win a trip to Austin’s Ride for the Roses!
Oakley staff was present at the Davis Challenge Village and proudly displaying their LIVESTRONG eyewear collection. Additionally, as a congratulations and thank you to our participants, they provided $20 Oakley gift cards to everyone with a bib.
Ever wonder where those awesome Team LIVESTRONG Challenge water bottles come from? Our friends at Trek Bikes donated BPA-free cycling bottles for each participant to receive when they picked up their bib.
What better way to finish a long day of riding than with a cold beer and some shade? That’s where our friends at Michelob ULTRA come in. Thanks to them, our participants were able to relax in the Davis Challenge beer tent and celebrate with their friends and family.
We love to see our sponsors get their staff involved in the Challenge Series, and Genentech is a perfect example. In Davis, their team of 25 raised more than $12,000 for LIVESTRONG’s programs and services. Genentech doesn’t stop there, however; they have teams fundraising and participating in Philadelphia in Austin as well!
A Team LIVESTRONG favorite, in addition to providing product for the on-course Power Stops (think chocolate Stinger Waffles), Honey Stinger was present in the Village to sample their full line of natural energy products.
Metzger Law Group was a first time sponsor of the Davis Challenge. In addition to donating water for the Post-Event Party and having a team of riders out on course, they were on-hand in the Village to talk about their services offered to California residents.
Giordana Cycling Apparel is a longtime supporter of Team LIVESTRONG and the Challenge Series. If you didn’t catch April’s blog post, Giordana offers a 5% discount on custom clothing to all LIVESTRONG affiliated teams.
Rodney Strong Vineyards is in their second year of sponsoring Team LIVESTRONG. As a way to honor our top Challenge fundraisers, teams and supporters, they generously donated the wine for Davis’ Fundraising Appreciation Dinner.
