Photos from the LIVESTRONG Challenge Davis: Part Two

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all that participated in the LIVESTRONG Challenge Davis this weekend! What an event! There were almost 1,500 of you that raised over $900,000 for help fund LIVESTRONG programs and services. We appreciate each and every one of you.
My favorite part of these events is meeting you all in person. I met a woman that told me her daughter’s cancer story. She starts chemo today for leiomyosarcoma and was having difficulties paying for fertility preservation. She called our navigation services and found out she was eligible for our Sharing Hope program which provides discounted rates for fertility preservation. The woman wanted to do something to give back to the foundation for helping ensure her daughter will be able to someday give her a grandchild. It was a wonderful and emotional experience for us both – an experience made possible by all of you that participate in events like the LIVESTRONG Challenge.
