Think Austin’s Hills are Hard? Try Cancer.

When I was 19 my left leg was amputated below the knee to save my life. Just two years later, the cancer reappeared and the lower left lobe of my lung was removed. I’m Amy Dodson, and I’m a survivor.

Earlier this year I was honored to run as Team Captain at the LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon and Half Marathon. I’ll be back again on February 17, 2013 and would be honored to have you on the team.

Registration opens today for the LIVESTRONG 2013 LIVESTRONG Austin Marathon and Half Marathon and Paramount Break-a-Leg 5k. Come run for something bigger than the mileage.

Amy Dodson
