Not only has LIVESTRONG Sporting Park captured the interest and intrigue of Major League Soccer supporters and sports fans across the country, but the attention and recognition has now gone worldwide.
TheStadiumBusiness Awards recently announced LIVESTRONG Sporting Park as the winner of both their Venue of the Year and Community Award at the ceremony held in Turin, Italy. The state-of-the-art, $200+ million venue was also a finalist for the Customer Experience Award and New Venue of the Year as dignitaries from throughout the world, including Sporting Club owners Robb Heineman and Cliff Illig, gathered at the Museo dell’Automobile di Torino
Opening in June 2011, LIVESTRONG Sporting Park was honored as “the world’s best stadium, arena or sports venue over the past 12 months” by TheStadiumBusiness Awards and was selected over venues from four different countries, including the Amway Center in Orlando.
The Community Award recognizes LIVESTRONG Sporting Park for finding unique ways to support, elevate and strengthen the local community. Sporting Club’s partnership with LIVESTRONG makes it the world’s first philanthropic stadium and a portion of all proceeds at the venue go toward LIVESTRONG programs in the local community.
