Last Week to Sign up for RAGBRAI!

Even though we’re four months away from rolling east across Iowa and the 40th edition of RAGBRAI – The Des Moines “Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa” – this is a big week for Team LIVESTRONG. That’s because this is the last week to register and get on board for the biggest 7-day bike ride in the world. We want you to be on the team and experience this true cycling bucket list experience!
Music is a big part of the RAGBRAI experience, and they announced last week the headliner band will be Counting Crows on Thu, July 26 in Cedar Rapids. Mayor Ron Corbett said, “We are honored to host RAGBRAI’s 40th Anniversary celebration in Cedar Rapids. As proud Iowans, it is a privilege to show thousands of visitors our Midwestern hospitality and community spirit.”
And thousands it will indeed be, with days averaging between 10-20,000 riders and their supporters making their way 471 miles eastward to the mighty Mississippi River. Team LIVESTRONG riders will experience all that RAGBRAI has to offer: great days of riding, the amazing pass through town hospitality, traditions of RAGBRAI like Mr. Pork Chop, pie, the always entertaining beer gardens and music venues, and the amazing friendships old and new from life around camp. “RAGBRAI is all about having fun on bikes – however you determine that to be – and we can’t wait to host our teammates as we help celebrate 40 years of RAGBRAI!” said team captain, Brian Myers.
