Impact Your Community: Artist in Residence

There are just a few days left to vote in this year’s LIVESTRONG Community Impact Project and almost 250,000 votes have been cast! One of the model programs up for funding this cycle is The Creative Center: Hospital Artist in Residence Program. This program brings bedside art therapy to patients in treatment for cancer to help them discover their own creative resources while meeting the challenges of diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.
The Creative Center has been a LIVESTRONG Community Partner since 2003 and in 2010 was chosen as a Model Program selected for replication in communities across the country through LIVESTRONG funding. Due to the success of the 2010 programs, this program has been selected for replication again in our 2012 cycle.
