Sharing our Story: Introducing LIVESTRONG’s New Facebook Page

by

Today we are proud to announce that LIVESTRONG has been chosen as one of the first organizations to launch a new Facebook Page with the timeline feature. A huge thank you goes out to Facebook for providing us with the opportunity to share our 15 years of history with our community.

With the new timeline feature you will see some of the biggest moments of the Foundation’s history; from our humble beginnings in 1997 at the first “Race for the Roses,” to the launch of the LIVESTRONG wristband in 2004, to the LIVESTRONG Global Cancer Summit in 2009, to last year’s opening of the LIVESTRONG Cancer Navigation Center in Austin. Many of you took part in these monumental moments alongside us. Did you attend a LIVESTRONG Challenge, celebrate LIVESTRONG Day or were you one of the 80 million who wear your wristband with pride? Tag yourself in the photos and comment on the posts. We want to hear from you.

LIVESTRONG has come a long way since 1997, but we are nothing without those who support us and those whom we serve. Thanks again to Facebook for providing this great opportunity to share our story with the world. Visit www.facebook.org/livestrong today and share your LIVESTRONG moments with us.

I got a little misty there. The power of the pictures so big, the stories so prominent is almost overwhelming. What a great community.

I have a Lance Armstrong tour de Jersey (Last Day black #28). How in God’s green garden can I get him to sign our Jersey so we can put in under glass and hang it on our wall. My wife calls Lance “My Boy”
