Tour de Lis: Healin’ Through Wheelin’

Tour de Lis is an annual 5K walk/run and bike ride with a purpose. This year’s event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at New Orleans’ City Park.
Tour de Lis offers something for everyone — a fun-filled day featuring food, local music, prizes and more. Best of all, everything needed to put on the event is donated by sponsors, so every penny raised goes to Tour de Lis’ national beneficiary LIVESTRONG and to the Greater New Orleans cancer survivor community. Founded in 2006 by New Orleans community activists Carol and Harold Asher, Tour de Lis seeks to improve the survival rates and quality of life for people faced with a cancer diagnosis.
