LIVESTRONG’s Community Impact Project (CIP) is in the home stretch of our application period of the year; our 2012 Model Programs are as diverse as the populations they will serve. From our post treatment physical activity programs with our partners at the YMCA, to Advanced Certification for Palliative Care, to programs that work to address the fear, isolation, and boredom that often comes with treatment. The CIP is offering 90 implementation grants to bring these programs into new communities nationwide. For more information on CIP visit our community homepage. For information on this year’s Model Programs including how to apply, visit their links below or join our call this Friday. The application will be open until Febraury 10th, 5pm CST.

The Community Impact Project replicates evidence-based programs that support people affected by cancer within one city, state or region of the United States. Using replicable programs that have proven effectiveness eliminates the cost of developing new programs and allows immediate implementation of programs to help cancer survivors and their families.
