Partnered Event Update: Ski 4 Yellow

We’re always looking for innovative ways to raise funds for the fight against cancer, and thanks to the success of our Grassroots Program we’ve been able to help grow some projects into what we call Partnered Events. These are events that have demonstrated outstanding organization and dedication to the mission, and we’re honored to be able to give back to enable further growth and support.
One excellent example is our partnership with the 4 Yellow Foundation. Here’s an update on what they’re doing. Thanks to all those involved in these dynamic events, and to you as well, for all you do!
In a very short period of time, the 4 Yellow Foundation has achieved an amazing level of success in raising funds and awareness in the fight against cancer. Between the Ski 4 Yellow and Ride 4 Yellow events in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and the Swing 4 Yellow and Dress 4 Yellow events in Dallas, Texas, the 4 Yellow Foundation has successfully raised over $1 million.
The 4 Yellow Foundation has granted $100,000 to local Steamboat Springs entities including the Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurses Association, Andy Caress Melanoma Foundation and the Yampa Valley Medical Center. In Texas, benefactors have included the Methodist Richardson Cancer Center and Cook Children’s Medical Center.
The second annual Ski 4 Yellow event is taking place March 30 – 31st, 2012, and is the start of four great events organized by the 4 Yellow Foundation for 2012. This one-of-a-kind LIVESTRONG Partnered Event will challenge 200 skiers and snowboarders to ride the world famous Steamboat Ski Area while completing various challenges throughout the day, including an opportunity for individuals and teams to ski with US Olympians and professional athletes.
The weekend is highlighted by a VIP cocktail reception and benefit auction, special guest keynote, free concert and awards ceremony.
