Today, we launch the official application for our 2012 Team LIVESTRONG Fundraising Mentor Program. Each year, the Team LIVESTRONG staff looks for qualified volunteers to fill the vital roles of our Fundraising Mentors. Historically, our Mentors have been successful fundraisers themselves through their participation in Team LIVESTRONG events.
As a Mentor, you’ll coach fellow Team LIVESTRONG participants on how to utilize innovative and effective fundraising techniques to help each ensure that he/she is able to meet and surpass his/her goals. You’ll be provided with an email address through which you will manage all of your communications, and you will receive a weekly report indicating participants who have recently signed up to participate in the program. There will be an introductory training session early in 2012, and we will conduct continuous training throughout the course of the year.
The role typically requires about 3-5 hours a week, and the term of the position is January through November. We look for candidates who have demonstrated fundraising success, an active affinity for LIVESTRONG and our mission, and a creative approach to fundraising.
