On October 6th, art, photography and music will organically join forces to raise funds for the global fight against cancer. We proudly introduce you to, the 2nd annual Art Mère / Art Père Silent Art Auction, with all proceeds benefiting LIVESTRONG.

Art Mère / Art Père was created in 2010 to commemorate the lives and legacy of those they have lost to cancer, the number one cause of death on the planet. Literally translated to OUR MOTHER/OUR FATHER, the mandate of this organization is simple: inspire those living with and affected by cancer to allow them to find the strength, hope and courage to celebrate life. Los Angeles is the natural choice for a movement that blends powerful artwork and vibrant entertainment through the unparalleled creative resources at ones disposal.

Brooke and Courtney Kivowitz’s mother, Marsha was truly and incredible lady. She was the kind of woman that made everyone she met feel special. When she was diagnosed with a “one in a million” type of cancer that started in her ovaries, that eventually would spread all over her body, her daughters were devastated. She was first diagnosed late in 1996, and this was just around the time LIVESTRONG was taking flight. Marsh made every day of her five year battle count to the fullest. She never cried or complained. She always had the brightest spirit.

Last year’s inaugural art auction was a tremendous success! Approximately $120,000 was raised for LIVESTRONG Navigation Centers, which provide free, confidential, one-on-one support to anyone affected by the disease.

This year’s event will take place in Hollywood, California at the legendary Smashbox Studio’s from 8PM-11PM. The featured art will include works from various American and European artists. Money will be raised through admission donations and the sale of silent auction items. Cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres will be served. Donations will be accepted through the LIVESTRONG website or at the door. If you cannot make the Oct. 6th event, you will still have the opportunity to be a part of the movement via the online auction that runs from 9/21-10/5!
