Tomorrow we will announce the LIVESTRONG Community Impact winners for 2011. Over 200 organizations, cancer hospitals and YMCA’s from all over the country applied to receive funding from LIVESTRONG. This is funding that will be used locally to run one of four cancer survivor programs.

Programs include:

1. The Promotores Project: a program that teaches Hispanic healthcare workers about cancer survivor care
2. LIVESTRONG at the YMCA: an exercise program for survivors in/out of treatment
3. Camp Kesem: a camp for kids that have lost a parent to cancer
4. Cancer Transitions: an emotional support program for the transition from patient to survivor
