2011 Mellow Johnny’s Classic

Last weekend Juan Pelota (Lance Armstrong) hosted a mountain bike race called the Mellow Johnny’s Classic at his ranch in Dripping Springs. Almost $30,000 was raised to support LIVESTRONG and the fight against cancer. Of that $30,000, $6,500 was raised by two amazing kids Nye and Jake Yackle from Cortez, Colorado. Jake and Nye sat down with LIVESTRONG‘s own Dylan Trakas to talk about their mountain biking prowess, the course and their connection to cancer. Way to go, guys!

    Hey Dylan! Thanks for posting the interview, really meant a lot to Jake & Nye. They so enjoyed their visit at Livestrong and learned a lot through their fundraising. Met so many nice people at the MJ Classic. Look forward to the Iron Horse MTB race end of May. See you then!
