Giving Thanks

by

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the United States. It’s a time when we count our blessings and realize the good around us. LIVESTRONG is thankful for so many things; those we serve, those that support us, those that find the strength to share their cancer stories with others.

We are so thankful for the amazing amount of support and the over 1.1 million supporters on Facebook. Sunday we posted a question on our wall “Why are you a part of the LIVESTRONG online community?”. We received over 350 responses and they are so great we had to share.

Dennis R Harrison: I love what LIVESTRONG represents, as I see my dad, who is a throat/tongue cancer survivor live strong every day. And I think it’s important to continue to share the message.

Michelle Zamora-Aguilar: My son is a survivor without this community. I am not sure how we would have gotten through all that my son and others are going through. I am so grateful for friends like LIVESTRONG and friend we have found because of your foundation I Love each and every one you. Stay strong and God Bless you all…….

Sarah Trevino: For my Daddy RIP…for those who are fighting the fight, survivors, and for the ones who have passed on.

Amy Kaufman: To keep the message out there and let people know that there is life before during and after. Livestrong each and everyday.

Keri Jenson: for my patients, I work for a cancer center

Bob White: A friend of mine gave me the LIVESTRONG notebook to help me with my battle. She told me she had been given one years earlier and it had helped her. One day I will pay it forward so that someone else in need may gain strength from the book and foundation.

Jacquie Walker Lyon: So that I never forget how life can change on a dime. Never take it for granted.

Tracey Burnett: Helps me to keep putting one foot in front of the other

We encourage you to read more of the comments on our Facebook page when you get a chance.

We are humbled by the outpouring of support and thankful for the wonderful people in our online communities. LIVESTRONG wishes you and your loved ones a safe, happy and hopeful holiday.
