For the first time ever, your vote will determine where LIVESTRONG Community Impact resources go.

Hundreds of hospitals, cancer centers and community organizations applied to be part of three different programs, and the applicants with the top votes per region will receive a financial award of support.

Today, we’re launching an online voting website?vote.livestrong.org?that will let you bring proven cancer support programs to your community. Voting ends at 7 p.m. CT on October 29, so please make your voice heard today.

All of the organizations that applied for awards deserve to win, but our funding is limited?that?s why we want to make sure that we select applicants with the best chance of success. And one of the strongest predictors of success is that the community served by a program is active and engaged.

You can show how excited your community is today by casting your vote and spreading the word to your friends and family.

The three programs that make up the LIVESTRONG Community Impact Project are very different, but they each make a big difference for cancer survivors and their families.

Cancer Transitions helps cancer survivors recapture a full life despite the difficulties of treatment; the Creative Center’s Artist in Residence program helps cancer survivors deal with the stresses of treatment through artistic expression and SuperSibs! helps siblings of cancer survivors cope with the challenges facing their family.

This is an opportunity to make an impact in the fight against cancer and bring these programs to your community.
