Make Your Mark. Chalkbot is Back

by

Along with launching the Nike LIVESTRONG Collection globally last week, our partners at Nike have been hard at work bringing back one of last year?s favorite visitors to the Tour de France.

The Chalkbot makes it easy for you to be part of the Tour ? sending your message of hope and inspiration to the 28 million people around the world fighting cancer today. Chalkbot follows the great cycling tradition of writing inspirational messages along the course for riders to see.

You can submit your Chalkbot message online at www.livestrong.org/chalkbot or via the LIVESTRONG Facebook Page. Once you submit your message, you?ll get an email confirmation letting you know that your message was received and then you?ll be prompted to share your message with your friends on Twitter and Facebook. New this year, you?ll have the opportunity to create and purchase a customizable NikeID Chalkbot t-shirt with your personal message.

If your Chalkbot message is selected and printed on the route of the Tour, you?ll receive an email with GPS coordinates providing the location where your message was inscribed.

Together with Nike, we?re using the road as a canvas to inspire and empower people affected by cancer. Go online, write your message and be part of the fight.

No Chalkbot in the 2011 Tour de France?

    • http://livestrong.org Brooke McMillan (LIVESTRONG Staff)

Unfortunately no. That was a fantastic campaign though. Here is a link to several photos from the previous years. Enjoy!

  • http://teammichaelmoyles.com Clint J

Why was the Chalkbot not in the tour this year? The web page where you can submit messages is still up and many of us from our running team submitted messages and kept waiting and watching the tour.

    • http://livestrong.org Brooke McMillan (LIVESTRONG Staff)

Nike decided not to run the chalk bot this year. It was a great campaign the last two years though. We appreciate all their support.
