Nurses: Get CNE Credits with LIVESTRONG

by

Most nurses don?t know the numerous disparities that exist for adolecent and young adult cancer survivors. More than 70,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer yearly, a diagnosis that is nearly EIGHT times more common than during the first 15 years of life. Compared with younger and older groups, AYAs have experienced little or no improvement in survival rates in more than two decades.

No matter your role or field of nursing practice, you can impact AYA cancer. LIVESTRONG and the Nurse Oncology Education Program have collaborated to create a free, video continuing nursing education (CNE) opportunity for nurses in all fields of practice.

The Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer CNE includes five free video episodes on the unique physical, emotional, and practical needs of the AYA patient.

The CNE offers .93 contact hours and is available at www.noeptexas.org.
