Owain’s Insight

Yesterday at the LIVESTRONG Challenge Seattle I met the Weinert family. Owain Weinert is battling Leukemia alongside his mom Heather, dad Alex and brother Dylan. Owain shares his story and offers up advice to other kids fighting cancer. Thank you to the whole Weinert family for participating in the ride yesterday!

    Hi Owain, My Name is Allen and I worked with your grandmother over the past few years in my Preschool classroom. Your comment about doing despite the challenges within and without your body ring very true. I have recently been diagnosed with prostrate cancer and will have surgery on 6/28. Bravo to you for adopting an attitude that I am sure will lead to a full recovery and a life rich in opportunities for family, friends and exploration. Take care and God bless- Allen
