Team LIVESTRONG was across the Pond this last weekend in London for the 2010 Virgin London Marathon. 10 runners took to the streets of London on a crisp spring morning to raise funds and awareness to make cancer a global priority.

After a light shower early near the starting line, the weather mostly cleared and gave way to bountiful sunshine as tens of thousands of runners traversed London in the largest single annual fundraising event in the world.

The evening before the race, the Teenage Cancer Trust ? a UK charity that builds specialist units in NHS hospitals which improve the quality of life and chances of survival for young people with cancer and a commitment maker at the 2009 LIVESTRONG Global Cancer Summit ? hosted a pasta party and invited our runners. Special guest Michael Watson was there to inspire the runners to accomplish their goals, even in the face of adversity.

Team LIVESTRONG runners have raised almost $20,000 and counting from this event! We celebrated after the race at the Texas Embassy in London ? a little taste of Texas for our dedicated runners.
