The Oscars of Twitter

As you may know, LIVESTRONG has had a significant voice in the land of Twitter this past year. From Mashable’s Summer of Social Good to the Drew Carey Million Dollar Challenge to Lance returning to cycling and Doug tweeting from all over the world. We appreciate our online communities and hope that you have enjoyed this past year’s tweets. Now there’s a way to show us just how much.
The Shorty Awards honor the best people and organizations on Twitter. These awards are for the Twitter community, by the Twitter community. Online voting is public and democratic, culminating in an awards ceremony that recognizes the winners in 27 official categories. Here are the three categories where we have a presence:

So, while asking people to nominate us feels a little like campaigning for prom queen, it still never hurts to do a little self promotion.
