Lance and the Astana boys have been busy racing their way through the Italian countryside – spreading the LIVESTRONG message and making everyone aware of the Foundation?s commitment to the global fight against cancer.
But as they say ? it takes a village?.
We have an entire team on the ground, thanks to our good friends at Nike, who are helping us spread the LIVESTRONG message at a grassroots level. Yellow has infiltrated the streets of the Giro, thanks to street teamers passing out wristbands, cheer cards and chalk, encouraging the masses to take to the streets to add their messages of hope and inspiration for the global cancer fight.

Along with our grassroots efforts, Ambrogio, an Italian street artist, has created large-scale chalk installations at various stages of the Giro. We want anyone, anywhere to use their talents and abilities to fight cancer. So whether you can ride a bike, paint a picture, or anything in between ? it takes all of us being involved to make a difference.

The passion and excitement from all of those in Italy has been overwhelming. It?s thrilling to see our message translate from Australia, to California and now to Italy. Our message is being heard loud and clear, and it?s thanks to all those on the ground who are making the difference.

From all of us at LAF and Nike LIVESTRONG ? thank you!! Thank you, HomeAway.com and thank you Alfonso who manages the property.
