Wow, I wonder what you can do next? I bet if you tried hard enough you could get rid of the 1st and 2nd Amendments as well! Who needs constitutional rights anyways??? This country was not REALLY founded on the belief that people should be free from tyranny, was it?

God forbid people be able to tell others what they can or can not do on their own property.

I’m not even a smoker and this is sad…. If you own a business and don’t want people smoking there, then tell them they can’t! What the heck? If you want to run a business that caters to smokers, advertise that! Seriously Lance, some people enjoy living in a free country. Go live in China if you want the government running your personal life.

This goes deeper than just an individual?s right to light up a cigarette. This is also about the rights of others to be free from second hand smoke in public places whether the business owner believes it or not. It is selfish for others to assume that we do not fear the “cancer sticks” for ourselves and for our children. I have a eight year old with heart difficulties which does not mix well with smoke.

Additionally, wake up. This government has been running our personal lives for years! Rules designed to protect us from ourselves have been in place well before we even knew cigarettes were harmful. Bicycle/motorcycle helmet laws, speed limits, gun laws restricting law abiding citizens, etc.

Bottom line is, we all deserve to be free from other’s smoke. Smoke in the privacy of your own home or in an area designated for it. If you cannot do this because you are having nicotine fit, maybe it is time to quit?
