    What an exciting day! The fact that LAF is going to shed light on how encompassing the global cancer burden is wonderful! Jodie Williams, the Nobel Laureate from the U.S. for her work banning landmines says, “willful ignorance is not an option.” This is so true in awareness to the global cancer burden. I can’t think of a better organization to take the reins and educate the world than LAF! Keep up the great work!

    Congrats on the CGI…BUT I am a Family Doc. working for a nonprofit for the un/underinsured north of Houston and “post Ike” I can not get 2nd round, overdue, chemotherapy for a 40 year old Hispanic male, husband, father, hard working carpet layer…with metastatic testicular cancer from ANYONE…UTMB-Galveston is virtually non-functional after the storm, MD Anderson and the other big players at the Texas MC unhelpful due to …money. We have so many battles still to fight at home !!! I will keep up the fight.

    Going to inpatient rehab Oct 11,2008 had liver biopsy today limited mobility need right leg strength and look forward to be amongst the positive energy of survivors -17 years 7th surgery May 7,2008 LUCKY 7′s BRAIN CANCER SURVIVORS

    On Jan 5th 2008 I went on my trainer and I had a partial complex seizure that led me to the hospital and an increase in my seizure meds. No more activity? No PHYSICAL ACTIVITY. That was all taken away. Next year I will challenge my upper body and cycle?

    2008 NOW I learn to use a wheelchair and what its like to be handicap…it’s all perspective… will use my voice as a positive spirit! I am so looking forward to celebrating the anniversary of my diagnosis on October 24 1991 with NH friends everyone! Thanks LAF!
