Now that the volunteer picnic is over, we can officially say that the 2008 LIVESTRONG Summit has come to close. I know I said it before, but I just wanted to reiterate how incredible the entire Summit experience has been.

Yesterday morning I was fortunate enough to go along with Lance and Doug as they popped into several of the classes going on. While in the Community Grants track, Rebecca Esparza, the local army leader from Corpus Christi, Texas, was right in the middle of a presentation, when Lance dropped by for a visit. It was a life long dream of hers to meet Lance, and right while she was speaking about joining the LIVESTRONG Army, the general himself agreed with her, that joining the LIVESTRONG Army is in fact a great idea. It was a very touching moment that I am sure she will cherish for the rest of her life.
