Photos from Day 3

Now that the volunteer picnic is over, we can officially say that the 2008 LIVESTRONG Summit has come to close. I know I said it before, but I just wanted to reiterate how incredible the entire Summit experience has been.

Yesterday morning I was fortunate enough to go along with Lance and Doug as they popped into several of the classes going on. While in the Community Grants track, Rebecca Esparza, the local army leader from Corpus Christi, Texas, was right in the middle of a presentation, when Lance dropped by for a visit. It was a life long dream of hers to meet Lance, and right while she was speaking about joining the LIVESTRONG Army, the general himself agreed with her, that joining the LIVESTRONG Army is in fact a great idea. It was a very touching moment that I am sure she will cherish for the rest of her life.

There are hundreds of little stories like this that happened throughout the Summit. Below are the the photos from Day 3. Hope you enjoy. We should have some more photos tomorrow of the final day in the Summit.

  1. Danielle Barille says:

Is that V Ice wearing a LIVESTRONG Band?!?!?!

  2. Halle says:

Wow, I’m still thriving off the energy and inspiration from all the incredible people I met at the summit.

I knew it was going to be an amazing weekend, but I never imagined it would be THAT incredible.

Thank you to the LAF team for making the summit possible!

  3. David Johnston says:

Special thanks to Elizabeth Kreutz, who seemed to be everywhere! The quality of her photography contributes greatly to the cause. The images also provide a wonderful reminder of a great Summit weekend. Thanks for sharing!

  4. I’m so jealous, Elizabeth!!! Not only because you took amazing photos but because you shared the LIVESTRONG love to Vanilla up close and personal. Well, that sounds kinda creepy so maybe I shouldn’t be jealous…
