LIVESTRONG Day 2007 delegate from North Dakota, Jim Miller, recently moved his family (wife Jenny and three children, Liam, Quinn, and Nadia) to San Antonio, TX. But that didnt stop them from fully participating in LIVESTRONG Day 2008! The Millers started out with 120 LIVESTRONG cookies and stopped at five cancer centers, starting in San Antonio and finishing in Marble Falls. I can tell you that they made a lot of patients smile and the kids had fun spending the day volunteering with Mom and Dad.
This is a photo of Liam with Elsa and Sue. They are both RN’s at Southwest Regional Cancer Center in Marble Falls where Liam and Jim handed out cookies, postcards, wristbands, brochures and LIVESTRONG survivorship notebooks.
Way to go Jim, who will celebrate his 10 year anniversary as a cancer survivor next year.
