It was a beautiful day here in Farmington Hills, a suburb of Detroit. The incredible weather arrived just in time for the LIVESTRONG Day Unity walk organized by LIVESTRONG Challenge mentor, Marc Applebaum and his wife, Christine.
Marc and Chris are an amazing couple who do more than participate in, fundraise for and volunteer at the Challenge; they truly exemplify what it means to LIVESTRONG, and their event was as grassroots as it gets.
Dozens of men, women, children and dogs dressed in yellow as they strolled through their neighborhood and then gathered at a local bar and grill to celebrate friendship, survivorship and community.
