When I arrived last night, It was not technically LIVESTRONG Day yet (there was just under one hour to go on the East Coast), but I could already feel the excitement in the air. As I waited at baggage claim, I noticed that a pilot standing next to me had a LIVESTRONG Challenge sticker on his bag. I introduced myself to him as an LAF staff member, and he told me how great the Austin ride was last year. When I told him what I was doing in Detroit, he already knew about LS Day. He wished me luck and told me that he plans to come to Austin in October to ride again.
Its moments like this that exemplify the grassroots nature of our movement and prove just how effective it is.
