We are at Jack’s school in Cedar Rapids and everyone is wearing yellow! The 1st grade class sang for us and right now we are in the lunch room talking about what LIVESTRONG means. The hallways are covered with LIVESTRONG posters the kids made. One says, “I live strong when I grow up and find a cure for cancer.” Next we are headed out to recess to pass out wristbands. After school there will be a walk to honor Jack and the other people the students know living with cancer.

    Way to go Jen and Marty! I know how hard you both worked to put this and your Saturday event together. And then Marty stopped by the Dick’s Sporting Goods store to lend a hand with my LS Day event too. What a guy!

    And Jack… he’s my hero.

    Happy LS Day Jen, Marty, and Jack. I know you’ve been busy these last few days, as I have been here in SW Iowa, but isn’t it GREAT to celebrate such a day!

    My school had a fundraiser last week, I rode with LS RAGBRAI Teammates Andy G. & Joe C. in Des Moines Sunday for the LS BikeIowa Event.

    Yesterday and last night was filled with phone calls from friends, teammates and supporters wishing me happy LS Day.

    On Thursday I’ll speak to my local hospital who is doing a fundraiser for me.

    Can’t wait to see you guys again. Keep training and getting the word out. You guys are the best.
