Ragbrai (Couple of Diversions)

I wanted to make sure I got a couple of quick notes up today.
Friend of the LAF Brian Garofalo was injured in a bicycling accident recently. I wanted to let Brian and his family and friends know that we are thinking of him as we are pedaling across Iowa.
I also blogged a while back about Jon Lester, a pitcher for the Boston Red Sox who was diagnosed with cancer about a year ago. Well Jon has fought back and tonight will make his first start since his treatment. Amazing story.
